Seriously, I about squealed like a little girl when I saw this!
In other, more LiveJournal-y news, I've decided to take up LJ roleplaying again via the community mixed_muses . No committment, no restrictions on how many characters to play, and I'll never get dropped for inactivity. Judging by the large number of members, I'd say that many people find it a refreshing alternative to your standard LJ roleplaying game. All I have to do is make yet another journal specifically for that community, apply, and I'm set! Also, it would probably be handy to get some icons for the various characters I plan on playing.
lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Weatherstock Remember when I said that you could play music in LOTRO? In groups as well as solo? I have? Good. Have I told you about my kinship, The Lonely Mountain Band, and how every Monday we hold a little event called Ales and Tales where we play songs, tell tales, drink ale(yes, you can craft booze in game. Pipe-weed too) and generally have a fun time? I have? Good.
Now let me tell you about an annual event The Lonely Mountain Band has held every summer since 2009. Think of it as a big Middle-Earth Battle of the Bands meets Woodstock kind of shindig held on Weathertop. What's it called? Weatherstock!
Seeing as I only joined the LMB shortly after LOTRO's F2P launch, this will be my first Weatherstock. And I am so excited for it. I heard from our kinship leader herself that over 200 folks were in attendance last year. LOTRO podcasts will be commenting on it. Two of the bands who signed up are from an EU server(which, until June 1st this year, are run by a different company). Saying that this is kind of a big deal is a huge understatement!
For more information, see the link at the beginning of the post. I doubt many on the flist will be interested, but if I can spread the word, well, I'll be content.
And now I must figure out what organizing team I should be on.
Well, other than an Avatar: The Last Airbender movie that does not suck on toast, I think it would be really interesting to see an anime version of LOTR. Not that Peter Jackson's films are bad. They are what got me into Tolkien to begin with. I just think it would be really cool, especially it it were done by Studio Ghibli.
Too old to do the trick-or-treating yourself? Yes. Too old to sneak candy from your younger siblings or children? Never. And you are never too old to be a trick-or-treating chaperone.
In other news, I went to a Halloween party last night. Didn't come home until 1AM. Fun times were had. Someone actually dressed up as Gumby. Other notable costumes: a golf accident victim(the makeup was spectacular), Waldo and his girlfriend, Christine Daae and the Phantom, Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World(excellent!), Maleficent, and Carl and Ellie from Up(they so looked the part. "Carl" even had the cane with the tennis balls on it). My sis was a dark fairy, and I was a pioneer(I reused my trek costume). Oh, I almost forgot. A pair of brothers dressed up as Ghostbusters. They even got the equipment right.
Holy cow! That was the most awesome show I have ever seen! Everything was just so amazing. It made me remember why I loved the movie so much. Sure we were in the nosebleed section, but at least we could still see the stage, and that's what matters. If you ever get a chance to see this show, take it! You will not be disappointed!

Day 4: Favorite Song from the games
Gotta be the most beautiful rendition of Dearly Beloved yet.
So, today's the day I go with my sis to see The Lion King at Capitol Theater in downtown Salt Lake. This will be my first time driving that far and in that traffic situation, so I'm a bit nervous. Hopefully the show will make it all worth the anxiety. I've wanted to see this show ever since I first learned about it from The Lion King Special Edition DVD(back when DVD's first became popular).

Day 3: Favorite Keyblade Design
I'd have to say that it's a tie between Rainfell and Oathkeeper. I really love how elegant they both look.
The phone itself is a Samsung Gravity T, and it is awesome. I've yet to figure out how to post to Facebook on it, but that's what my brother is for ;).
I've been wanting a cell for a long time, but have always lacked the funds to get one. So this is pretty big news for me.
Well, I'd better get going on adding people's numbers to my phone.
So, my sis recently bought a PSP and Birth By Sleep. All three of us siblings have started playing it, and frankly, I love it. It's been years since I've played a Kingdom Hearts game, so this really means a lot to me.
Now, I am fully aware that it is just a game and that reality ain't nearly as spectacular. I've been out of La-la Land for some time, now, so I think I have a pretty good grasp on reality now. Why do I bring this up? Because in the past, me playing the game = major behavioral problems because the game kinda blurred the lines between fantasy and reality for me. Or it was just plain addicting. I'm leaning towards the latter. Besides, I've discovered Facebook in the interim.
You know, I remember the first time I ever played the first game. It was the music that really got me hooked. Utada Hikaru and Shimomura Yoko really know how to draw one in with music. I cried at the ending of the first game. I cried at the ending of the second. I'm sure I'll cry if I ever get around to playing Days. I guess I cried because I let myself get emotionally involved with the story line. And Birth By Sleep certainly has a storyline that provokes sympathy.
So yeah, kind of a random entry. No real progress on my fic. Still stuck on what my outfit will look like.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be thanking God for this miracle. Probably should have done it when the news first broke, but that's my brain for you.
