Hate to break it to anyone who actually believes that tomorrow the Rapture happens and the world starts to end. First off, there is no scriptural evidence a Rapture will happen. None. Second, there are several New Testament verses that state that not even the angels in heaven know when the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is. Only God himself knows.

That doesn't mean that I don't think that the end is coming soon. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I know that it's coming. Just because it takes a while on Earth doesn't mean it's not soon for God.

I don't, however, believe that God left clues in the Bible that calculate an exact date for Christ's Second Coming. Not only does that go against scripture, it also goes against common sense. Why would God tell everyone the exact date of Judgement Day? Everyone would wait until the last minute to repent, and that is not the ideal way to die. We are not only judged by our intentions, but by our actions as well. That's why we need to live every day like it's the last.

I'd probably be laughing my butt off at these people if it wasn't so sad that they were easily decieved.

Perfect Law and Order fodder if you ask me. That is, if Law and Order were still around. :(

I believe that expresses my feelings about her former employers quite nicely, don't you.

I'm not even kidding. Today was the day Mom was supposed to go back to work after being on disability for months. Instead, they put her on suspension with pay for something she did not do, nor did she have any idea it was happening. The pharmacy techs were clocking out and not leaving, something that should never be done at a Wal-Mart pharmacy. Not only did management do nothing about it until now, the techs all accused mother of authorizing such behavior, something that my mother not only did not do, but would never do. She asked management about it, but they never said that such behavior was grounds for termination of employment. Somebody, I don't know who, is either using my mother to stay out of trouble, or is actively trying to get her fired. Dad seems to think the latter, and I tend to agree with him. My mom runs a tight ship, and she has had trouble with techs not following the rules in the past.

That's not even the worst of it. The worst thing is that my parents now owe $26,000 that on a business credit card that they never used because the business partner was using it as front. He was buying stuff for his family with a business-only credit card. In short, we have been embezzeled and there is no legal action we can take. Suing him would be throwing good money after bad, since he has no money and would just go bankrupt, and the police will not arrest him for his criminal actions.

So, as you can see, my family is in quite the situation. Dad isn't making enough money to cover all our expenses, and Mom has to find a new job. If it's not one thing happening to my family, it's another. Heck, it's often two or more things at once.

Let's be clear, though. I'm not mad at God. He places these things in our way to make us stronger, and they always have in the past. I am, however, very angry at both the local Wal-Mart's management and the "business partner" who cheated us. The business partner used to work with my dad, and we trusted him. Plus he's LDS, which means he knew full well what he was doing was wrong and did it anyway. And don't even get me started on Wal-Mart.

When will these people learn to stop being selfish and start being kind and honest and caring to one another? I know they can, so why don't they do it?

because I either chose really hard ones or I just need more LJ friends. Possibly a combo of both. The ones [livejournal.com profile] starcrossed_sky answered will obviously not be given.

Number 2 was The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Number 3 was Power Rangers: Ninja Storm.
Number 4 was Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. I'm guessing my flist doesn't have a lot of Power Rangers fans.
Number 5 was Lost. Maybe I should of chosen the summation with the polar bears.
Number 6 was Family Matters. "Did I do that?"
Nubmer 7 was Digimon Tamers.
Number 8 was Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. I am suprised no one got this one.
Number 10 was The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Number 12 was Kim Possible. The summation was rather vauge.
Number 13 was the Teen Titans animated series. Man, that theme song was catchy.
Number 14 was The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn. Those who want an explanation to this one will be shot...
Number 15 was The Lord of the Rings. Who would of thought that one of the greatest literary endeavors ever was about fighting over jewelry?
Number 16 was The Silmarillion. Also known as the LOTR backstory. With even more fighting over jewelry!
Number 17 was James Cameron's Avatar.
Number 18 was Shrek.
Number 20 was Dragonball Evolution. The only good thing associated with it is Ayumi Hamasaki's Rule.
Number 21 was Spamalot.
Number 22 was The Importance of Being Earnest.
Number 23 was Einstein on the Beach. It's an opera by Philip Glass, and I use the term "opera" very loosely here.
Number 24 was Kickassia.
And number 25 was The Official Fanfiction University of Middle Earth. OFUM for short. I absolutely love this fanfic.

In other news, I fail at Nanowrimo.

You'd think I'd learn not to be mad at my sister for making silly mistakes. Especially after taking me to see The Lion King. But noooo, I have to have everything my way, or there'll be hell to play for everyone else. Why can't I just grow up and get on with my life? All I do everyday is play on the computer without doing anything productcive. I need to stop or my life will end up being the most epic fail ever. I have so much potential and I do nothing with it.

Kingdom Hearts 30 Day Meme
Day 5: Favorite Mini-game

Anything involving Winnie the Pooh. Especially if Tigger is involved. Tigger was my favorite Pooh character. Still is, actually.

I'm not gonna say it's title. Why? Because the mere mention of it will cause me to go into a psychotic rage. I am using every bit of willpower I have not to go into one right now. I am, of course, referring to M. Night Shaymalan's latest film.

It is a disgrace to the show it is based off of. It is a disgrace to Shaymalan's career. Most of all, it is a disgrace to the fans.

Mind you, I have not actually watched this movie. But my sister has, and her experience alone is enough to make me want to form an angry mob around Shaymalan's house. Of course, word on the net only confirms this movie's suckiness.

You, Mr. Shaymalan, have failed. Completely and utterly. Don't expect to make any sort of sequel, because this movie should never have been made in the first place.  I can understand having to make drastic changes for a movie, but racebending? Mucking up the pronounciation of character's name? And don't even get me started on the lack of penguin sledding and hair loopies.

So. yeah. This movie sucks. But the show will forever remain awesome.
